When a situation seems bleak, the power of prayer can bring in guidance, and maybe even a miracle. It was the case for Levi and his family when he got into an accident that had him fighting to stay alive.
Levi’s parents recall that fateful day in 2009 when they were in church to attend a meeting. He asked his father Bruce if he could get the keys to the high school room because it was where the kids were going to stay during the meeting.
Some of the kids got inside before Levi and the others could and locked them out. Fortunately, since he had the master key, he knew a way for them to get inside the high school room. They had to go through several closets to get to the high school room.
Levi went into a dark closet, and he fell 20-feet down into the sanctuary. It turned out that the AC unit had no flooring. Kelsey, his sister, immediately called for help and while he showed no physical injuries, they saw that he was still in a lot of pain.
Something is Not Right
Vicki, Levi’s mother kept asking him where it was hurting. Levi pointed to his stomach. Bruce knew that there was something wrong with him.
Levi was taken to the hospital in Gainesville, Georgia. The trauma surgeon told his parents that he had to be taken to another hospital to get treatment. Levi was flown to another hospital in Atlanta, where the doctor told them that his stomach had burst open.
It seemed that Levi had a 50-50 chance of surviving the night as his organs were failing. Having done all they could, Levi’s family and friends turned to the Lord and the power of prayer all throughout this ordeal. At the moment, they needed a miracle.
The next morning, the doctor came to Bruce with an update. Levi’s organs were healing.
Levi recalled that as he opened his eyes, he saw the Lord’s presence in the room. He immediately knew it was Him. The Lord looked at Levi and told him that he was going to be alright.
Since then, Levi and his family are forever grateful to the Lord for giving them the miracle they needed. Levi said that he would not still be alive without the power of prayer of his family and friends and most especially of God.
