Knee pain can affect people of all ages; particularly, dancers are at high risk of knee injuries such as a torn cartilage or a ruptured ligament. In the story of Teresa, she narrated how she dedicated her dancing journey for the Lord and how she was healed when the pain in her right knee worsened.
A sudden ache in both or in one of the knees is usually a result of overusing or injuring it. In many cases, the joint becomes vulnerable to damage and eventually results in pain because it takes the full weight of the body and any extra force when you do movements.
Age is also a factor since you are more likely to experience pain when you get older. While some people suffer from minor pains which require self-care measures, others are obliged to undergo surgical repair. Teresa is blessed enough not to cut off herself just to relieve the discomfort she felt.
Teresa Narrates Her Journey Towards Dancing in God’s Ministry
The woman recalled her childhood dance training and how she got spanked because she did not want to go to ballet class. She said that when she was already in high school, she tried to learn modern dance, but then she found herself bad at it and eventually dropped from the class.
Teresa admitted that she was not that graceful when she was a child. In a turn of events, she became the director of a worldwide worship dance ministry. She narrated how she became the head of the department amidst her lack of poise and groove in dancing.
She said that “dance burst forth” at the end of a Sunday service and from that day forward, dancing became a “natural expression” of her love to the Lord. For thirty years, her love to worship God through dance has not waned.
God Heals Teresa’s Knee Pain After Kneeling Down to Him
Nonetheless, her physical ability to dance has diminished. Months ago, Teresa noticed that she has troubling aches on her knee. She said that she was not able to “do things easily” as she had been doing before like kneeling before the Lord. She observed that it was a lot harder for her to get up and it felt like something was not “connecting like it was supposed to connect.”
When her symptoms worsened, she became worried and ended up saying, “Lord, are my kneeling days over? I don’t want to not be able to kneel before you because it is such a sign for me personally of surrender.”
Then one morning, God answered her queries through the television network The 700 Club. She listened to the preacher as if he was talking to her and she realized that the “key is going to be when I kneel down.” When she knelt, the pain was gone.
Teresa was so thankful to God for taking away her excruciating knee pain. Since then, she has been “pain-free” while teaching six worship dance classes a week. She said that God cares “even the smallest detail of your life.”
