Elsa the Kitten Finds A Home After Nearly Being Frozen

Elsa the kitten, named after the ice queen of Frozen, has finally found a home after recovering from the sub-zero weather in Denver. The abandoned cat, which was discovered half-covered in snow, has been adopted by a foster dad.

When the temperature drops, the surroundings may sound like a beautiful, Winterland. However, it is not the case for some animals since it can be deadly at times. Humans can layer up many sweaters, jackets or scarves because they have no fur to keep themselves warm.

Elsa the Kitten Was Saved From Being Frozen

Although some animals like dogs and cats have fur, it does not guarantee that they can be safe during the winter season. This is almost the case for Elsa the kitten, an abandoned cat rescued in Denver, Colorado on a cold, wintery night. When she was spotted, her temperature was so low that it did not even register on the thermometer.

According to reports, David saw the little orange tabby in that scary situation. He opened his window and with a shock, he found the cat frozen in a blanket near his windowsill. The man, who thankfully acted quickly, witnessed how dreadfully cold and could not move at all the poor kitten was.

The little cat was then brought to the foster department’s Humane Society of Utah. The staff of the organization thought that the ‘cold as ice’ tabby would not be able to make it through the night. Luckily, one of the volunteers swiftly got to work to help the poor animal.

Furthermore, Elsa the Kitten was given fluids for her rehydration and heated blankets to keep her warm. She then started to show signs that she was regaining energy.

The little cat’s name, Elsa, was given by the foster staff of the department. Deann Shepherd, the director of marketing and communications for the Humane Society of Utah, said the kitten is already beginning to take in dry food. Elsa definitely stands as a reminder that animals, just like humans, need protection from extreme temperature.

Elsa Was Finally Adopted By Her Foster Dad

The cute orange  tabby has been adopted by her foster dad, the shelter worker of Denver Dumb Friends League who nursed her back to health. Elsa the Kitten, who suffered from severe hypothermia, has found a home in the care of Jim Slater.

The man who fell in love with the little cat said, “She was by far the sweetest kitten I’ve ever fostered.” Slater added, “She’s just amazing.” It was stated in  a Facebook post of The Dumb Friends League, that Slater happens to be their “2014 Volunteer of the Year.”

In present times, Elsa the Kitten is happily living with her older broth er named Blue the cat and the man who loves her to bits.
