The Sims 4 finally makes its way to consoles. As per recent reports, a release date for the game reveals its availability for the Xbox One and PS4. This comes after a previous leak of the title coming to the Xbox’s console.

The Sims 4 For PS4 and Xbox One

Reportedly, the game will launch for consoles on November 17. The console version will include some of the content add-ons that were available on the original PC iteration. EA, the game’s publisher, also adds that fans will be able to enjoy “periodic game updates and extra content releases.”

Furthermore, Xbox One users will be able to test out the game a week early by Nov. 9. This will be at no extra charge and will only be available for a limited time. Take note, however, that this only applies to EA Access subscribers on the Xbox One.

Price and Preorders

Interested fans can avail of some preorder bonuses. Reports share that players who pre-order the game’s Standard Edition will receive the Perfect Patio pack. This includes “tons of bonus decor for your outdoor oasis.” The Standard Edition costs $49.99.

Another preorder comes in the Deluxe Party Edition. This comes with the Stuff Pack, the Life of the Party, Up all Night, and Awesome Animal Hats DLC. It adds “special content like a Flaming Tiki Bar, outrageous costumes, silly animal hats, and more.” Additionally, this will also grant early access to the game, making it available on Nov. 14. The Deluxe Party Edition costs $59.99.

The Sims 4 Updates

Though the game first launched in 2014, it continues to see updates that add to the enjoyment of players. One such example is its addition of toddlers. This came as a free update earlier this year. Allegedly, it was already planned for several years before it finally saw a release.

Of the toddler update, executive producer Lyndsay Pearson said, “I’m not exaggerating when I say we’ve been talking about this particular update for years. We just had to find the right time, resources, and design to allow us to start the heavy process of actually building and bringing toddlers to life. And believe me when I say it has been really, really difficult to not talk about this as we worked to get it right.”

Newer expansions have yet to become available as per recent reports. Regardless, the game’s recent announcement of an Xbox One and PS4 version arrives as good news for old and new fans alike. It ultimately gives fans yet another platform to enjoy The Sims 4 on.
